Waterlogging was recorded in various parts of the national capital, including Moti Bagh and RK Puram in south Delhi, after torrential rains continued to lash the city for the second day in a row. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rain to continue over Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana today.

Delhi has recorded more than 1,000 mm of rainfall so far this season. The highest amount of rainfall — 1,050 mm — for the monsoon season was recorded in 2003 at Safdarjung observatory, according to the IMD officials.
