Eskom failing to meet air pollution obligations
  • 3 years ago
Eskom can only meet half of its obligation on air quality and that only in four years. They were briefing the Portfolio Committee on Environment, Forestry and Fisheries. The power utility informed the committee that due to excessive financial, outage and resource requirements, it has adopted a phased and prioritised approach for 57 percent compliance by 2025. Eskom says this approach has been accepted by the government. Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee in Environment forestry and fisheries, Fikile Xasa, has more on this. Courtesy #DStv403
