Tokyo 2020: Boria Majumdar visits Asakusa Shrine after India's most successful Olympics campaign

India Today's Consulting Editor Boria Majumdar on Sunday visited the Asakusa Shrine in Tokyo after Neeraj Chopra's gold medal capped off India's most succesful Olympics campaign.

With seven medals – one gold, two silver, four bronze – Tokyo 2020 has been the most successful Olympic Games in India’s history.

"The most important thing about the shrine is that it has Gautam Buddha's relic (Lord Buddha's relic). This Pagoda founded in 942 was rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1648," Boria Majumdar said.
