Violence in Assam's Cachar district again, trucks vandalised

Tension along the Assam-Mizoram border escalated again after locals in Assam's Cachar district allegedly vandalised four Mizoram-bound trucks on Friday night. This comes despite the withdrawal of travel advisory notice by the Assam government where it appealed to locals to allow the movement of goods-laden vehicles to Mizoram. People, however, stopped the vehicles when they reached the Bhaga Bazar area and on learning that they were headed to Mizoram, vandalised the trucks. Watch the video.
