Hike in diesel prices perturbs private bus operators in Shivamogga
  • 3 years ago
Private bus operators in Shivamogga are struggling to resume full services due to steep hike in diesel prices in Karnataka. According to them, they are incurring losses. "We are incurring losses. The state govt is inconsiderate towards private operators. They have left us to suffer, “It's getting difficult to continue with our services. Every 3 months, we pay Rs 50,000 (tax). Salary has to be given to drivers, conductors and bus expenses are also to be looked into. All of this can't happen when diesel rates are going up,” said an operator.
