This artist used an Indonesian technique called Batik to make a portrait of a puppy. They outlined on the fabric canvas and applied a light-colored dye to it. Then they used a tool called canting to apply wax on the canvas. They filled wax on the areas of the portrait that they wished to keep because wax resists dyes. The batik artist continued with this process of applying colorful dyes and wax. The final result was an amazing portrait of the puppy made with a creative technique.
