This artist outlined lips on the fabric and used the Batik technique to paint it. They applied wax on the parts they wanted to keep of the same color and applied colorful dyes all over. Since wax resists dyes, the areas with wax retained the color of the previous dye. The Batik artist continued to do this until their colorful lips popped out. They dedicated this masterpiece to celebrate Pride month.
