Union home minister Amit Shah performed 'aarti' at Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad on early Monday morning before the annual Rath Yatra takes off from the temple.
The Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad has been decorated in preparation for the Rath Yatra. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up outside the temple.
Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to his home state of Gujarat beginning July 11 to participate in a variety of events, including Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad today.a
