On the occasion of World's Population Day, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled the new population control policy 2021-2030 on Sunday.
The new population policy aims to reduce the birth rate to 2.1 per thousand population by 2026 and to 1.9 by 2030.
During the inauguration event, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that there should be a gap between two children in order to control the state's population.
