Shortage or hesitancy derailing vax drive in India?

Amid the ongoing vaccination drive, the pace of vaccine administration in the country again sees a decline in daily administration. The country, in the last 24 hrs, administered only 25.7 lakh doses. This lapse in daily vaccine administration is primarily because of the shortage of vaccines in the country.
Following 90 lakh jab administrations on June 21, the daily administration rate dropped to 1.7 lakh jabs on June 27.
Meanwhile, the government stated in its affidavit to the Supreme Court that it will provide 12 crore vaccines by July so that people can be successfully immunised against the Covid-19 virus.
