NIA court acquits MLA Akhil Gogoi in case related to anti-CAA violence

A National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on July 1 acquitted activist Akhil Gogoi in a sedition case. Gogoi’s supporters reached the NIA court in Guwahati in his support. Advocate of Akhil Gogoi, Rahul Sensowa said, “After hearing the council for the accuse, the court today passed the order to discharge Mr Akhil Gogoi and other accused free of all the charges level against him including IPC and UAPA sections”.
