A special NIA court in Guwahati on Tuesday granted bail to social activist Akhil Gogoi, who was arrested in December last year for his alleged role in violence during anti-CAA protests, as the investigating agency had set a fixed period of 90 days in connection with the alleged Maoist affair. Could not file charge sheet against him inside.

गुवाहाटी की एक विशेष एनआईए अदालत ने सीएए विरोधी प्रदर्शन के दौरान हिंसा में कथित भूमिका को लेकर पिछले साल दिसंबर में गिरफ्तार किए गए सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अखिल गोगोई को मंगलवार को जमानत दे दी क्योंकि जांच एजेंसी कथित माओवादी संबंध के मामले में 90 दिनों की निर्धारित अवधि के अंदर उनके विरूद्ध आरोपपत्र नहीं दाखिल कर पायी.
