India's daily coronavirus cases dropped below 40,000 for the first time in the past threr months as the country registered 37,500 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry. With the fresh spike in the daily Coid-19 cases, the coronavirus caseload in India has climbed to 3,03,16,897.

India also saw 56,994 recoveries in the past 24 hours, pushing the recovery rate in India to 96.87 per cent, the Union health ministry said on Tuesday. India also saw 907 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll in the country to 3,97,637.
