Water level of River Ganga rises in Patna
  • 3 years ago
Due to continuous rainfall, the water level of river Ganga has increased in Patna on Tuesday. Bihar disaster management and police are on high alert. The Sanjeev Kumar Suman, Director of Central Water Commission (CWC), Patna said that the water level in Ganga is less than the warning level as of now. “Water level in Ganga is less then warning level now. The main reason for increasing water level in Ganga is due to heavy rainfall. Water also flows from different rivers which mix into Ganga so because of that the level rises rapidly. The warning level here is around 47.17 cm,” said the director.
