Delhi Court orders release of Natasha, Devangana, Asif as activists claim deliberate delay
  • 3 years ago
A Delhi court has passed orders to release Delhi riots accused students and Pinjra Tod activists Devangana Kalita, Natasha Narwal and Jamia student Asif Iqbal Tanha from Tihar Jail days after they were granted bail.

The activists had moved the court seeking immediate release and alleging that the government was deliberately delaying their release even after the high court granted them bail in the UAPA case.

The Karkardooma court heard the matter on Thursday and Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Bedi told lawyers that the court had passed the order at 11 am. A handwritten order has been passed.
