Amid rising cases of COVID-19 infection among the IPL players, BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla on Tuesday informed that the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been suspended for this season. SRH player Wriddhiman Saha tested positive ahead of their scheduled match against Mumbai Indians in Delhi today. Delhi Capital’s Amit Mishra also tested positive, a day after Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier were found infected. The decision to suspend the season midway was taken because of the rising numbers of Covid positives within the bio bubble.
