A clash broke out between the locals and the police in Subarnapur district over cutting down of trees. This incident occurred near Barajhula village under Birmaharajpur Police limits of the district. The clash broke out after locals opposed cutting of roadside trees. The villagers had earlier protested felling of trees. However, the protests took a violent turn after the admin began cutting of roadside trees in the area. As per reports, section 144 has been imposed and a police team has been deployed in the area.
