Why Is India Turning Its Back On Rohingya Refugees?

An estimated 150,000 Rohingyas have fled from Rakhine state in Myanmar to Bangladesh ever since violence broke out between militants and the state on August 25. Around 500 of them are Hindus while the rest are Muslims.

Despite widespread accusations against the Myanmar government of genocide and ethnic cleansing of Rohingyas, India has planned to deport around 40,000 Rohingya refugees.
