Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad attributed the discrepancies between the Perikatan Nasional ministers on the decisions made to fight the spread of Covid-19 to the fact that the federal government was allegedly formed through the 'back door'.

He said this when asked by a reporter to comment on Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob's cryptic Facebook post yesterday.

Speculation was rife that Ismail’s “I closed the front door but...” post reflected the minister’s frustration over scores of factories being allowed to operate during the lockdown.
