Due to ‘Family Obligation’.
ESPN reports that
J. Cole’s professional
basketball career is
done, at least for now. .
Sources confirm that Cole has departed Rwanda
and returned home due to “family obligation.” .
His contractual obligations to the Basketball Africa
League (BAL) have reportedly been completed. .
Cole has been playing in the league on the Rwanda
Patriots team since its inauguration on May 16.
He played a little over
45 minutes in three
preliminary games,
putting up a total of
five points, three assists
and five rebounds. .
Although Cole brought
the BAL a lot of extra publicity,
not all players welcomed
his involvement. .
Terrell Stoglin, guard for
Morocco AS Salé, called
Cole’s involvement in the
league “disrespectful.”.
For a guy who has so much money and
has another career to just come here and
average, like, one point a game and still
get glorified is very disrespectful to the
game. It’s disrespectful to the ones who
sacrificed their whole lives for this, Terrell Stoglin, via ESPN
