Mehul Choksi goes missing, Antiguan govt official says they don’t know if he has left jurisdiction| Interview

Fugitive diamond trader Mehul Choksi, wanted in the Rs 13,000 crore PNB scam case, may have fled Antigua and could have landed in Cuba. In an interview with India Today TV, Lionel Hurst, the Chief of Staff of Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne, said they don’t have details and added that the police have searched a number of areas in the neighbourhood.
On reports of Mehul Choksi fleeing the country, Lionel Hurst said, “We don't know, that is mere speculation. We don't know what had happened to him whether if he has left our jurisdiction or not. A telephone call was made by a member of his household. Police responded almost immediately.”
