AIIMS director Randeep Guleria at India TV's mega conclave 'Jeetga India, Harega Corona' spoke about the disease while talking about cases of black fungus in corona patients. He said that if black fungus is not treated in a timely manner and it spreads more in the body, then its mortality is higher than the death rate of corona virus infection. Dr. Guleria pointed out that black fungus is not a contagious disease, it does not spread from one person to another. However, it takes longer to cure this disease while treatment of corona does not take that much time.

दिल्ली स्थित AIIMS के डायरेक्टर रणदीप गुलेरिया ने कोरोना मरीजों में ब्लैक फंगस के मामलों पर बात करते हुए इस बीमारी के बारे में जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि ब्लैक फंगस का अगर समय पर इलाज न किया जाए और यह शरीर में ज्यादा फैल जाए तो इसकी मृत्यु दर कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण की मृत्यु दर से ज्यादा है। डॉ गुलेरिया ने बताया कि ब्लैक फंगस छूत की बीमारी नहीं है, यह एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे व्यक्ति में नहीं फैलता है। लेकिन, इस बीमारी को ठीक करने में ज्यादा समय लगता है जबकि कोरोना के उपचार में इतना समय नहीं लगता।
