CM Mamata announces strict guidelines amid increasing Covid cases in WB

Amid growing number in cases of Covid-19 in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee government took a few steps to control the spread of virus.

Hawkers, transporters, journalists will be given priority in the administering of the first dose of vaccine.

Only 50% attendance in state govt offices and social/political gathering is prohibited. Shopping complexes, gyms, cinema halls, beauty parlours will be closed. Movement of local trains will be suspended from May 06. The state transport, including metro, will function with 50% capacity.

CM Mamata Banerjee also wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for vaccines and oxygen supply.
