Turkana County Government Had A Hard Time Explaining How The County Government Spent 888 Million To Combat The Covid-19 Pandemic In The Devolved Unit. The Auditor General's Report Further Established That The Governor Josphat Nanok Led County Spent Over 200 Million For Non-Covid-19 Related Matters. According To The Auditor General's Report, The County Government Did Not Have Approved Procurement Plans To Spend The Said Funds. However, The County Government Distanced Itself From The Auditor's Report Claiming That The Onset Of The Pandemic Did Not Give The Counties A Chance To Prepare Spending Plans.
