India on Wednesday registered a record rise in deaths from Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, taking its total fatalities past the 200,000 mark. India saw 3,293 deaths in the last 24 hours. India, a country of nearly 1.4 billion people, is the fourth to cross 200,000 deaths due to Covid-19 infection, behind the United States, Brazil and Mexico.
