Brad Stevens was interviewed pregame before the Celtics matchup vs the Charlotte Hornets. He spoke about the team’s turnover issues, gave an update on Robert Williams, and commented on how important it is to be healthy for the playoffs.
The Celtics have struggled with turnovers all season, including last game where they had 19. Stevens was asked about this issue during the press conference. “You can’t throw the ball all over the gym and expect to have a good chance at winning,” said Stevens. “We have to be better at reading that extra attention.”
Robert Wiliams has been out for a little while now, and Stevens was asked if there was any update on his knee injury. “I think he’s getting better,” said Stevens. “We hope that he’s back at some point soon… just not quite ready today.”
Stevens also talked about how important it is for this team to be healthy for the playoffs. With Williams being the only player on today’s injury report, this is the most healthy the team has been in weeks. “It’s really important,” said Stevens. “Knock on wood, I hope that we can maintain some semblance of that.”
