Brad Stevens Pregame Interview | Celtics vs Nets
  • 3 years ago
Brad Stevens was interviewed pregame before the Celtics game vs the Brooklyn Nets. He commented on Evan Fournier being available, gave an injury update on Jaylen Brown, and spoke about how good the Nets are, including former Celtic Kyrie Irving.
Evan Fournier was not listed on the Celtics’ injury report for the first time in almost 20 days. Stevens was asked about how he’s feeling and if there would be a minutes restriction in place. “We have an open line of communication,” Stevens stated. “He’ll be restricted… it’ll be low twenties… but it’ll be very much dependent on how he feels.”
Stevens gave an injury update on Jaylen Brown as well, who is out once again tonight as he deals with a shoulder injury. It’s “not severe from what I’ve been told as far as long term,” he said. “Certainly painful… [he] doesn’t have full range of motion… tonight was very much a possibility… he’s day-to-day after this.”
Lastly, Stevens praised the Nets and how good they have been, specifically mentioning former Celtic Kyrie Irving. “They’ve been really good all year,” he said. “It starts with Kyrie, everyone knows how good he is.”
