Amid massive surge in Covid cases, the Indian Air Force has swung into action and has started airlifting oxygen containers, cylinders, essential medicine, equipment and medical personnel to assist the government in combating the pandemic
Meanwhile, Chief of India's Disease Control Programme, Dr Sujeet Singh, said genome sequencing of over 15,000 Covid- 19 samples has been conducted to date. He went on to say that conducting genome sequencing on 5 per cent of total samples that have tested positive for Covid-19 currently is "not feasible because of the sharp surge in cases now."
