PM Modi calls off West Bengal campaign tomorrow; Covid vaccine registrations for above 18 to start from 28 April; more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to cancel his visit to West Bengal on Friday to address poll rallies on behalf of BJP candidates in order to chair high-level meetings on Covid-19 in New Delhi tomorrow. The Prime Minister was scheduled to address four rallies in West Bengal on Friday. All preparations were made for the rallies in Murshidabad, Malda, Birbhum and Kolkata South. Meanwhile, Covid-19 vaccine registrations for all those above 18 years will commence on the CoWIN platform and Aarogya Setu app from April 28, the Centre said on Thursday. The inoculation process and documents to be submitted to get the jab remains the same. The central government had announced that the vaccination for those above 18 years will begin across the country from May 1 as part of the third phase of the inoculation drive.
