Amid the worsening COVID-19 situation in the country, the government has waived the import duty on Remdesivir API, injections and specific inputs. The import of Remdesivir Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), injections and specific inputs have been made import duty-free till October 31 amid the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, the government has informed.

कोरोना महामारी के दौर में रेमडेसिविर इंजेक्शन की किल्लत को लेकर मचे हाहाकार के बीच एक राहत भरी खबर आई है. केंद्र सरकार ने एंटी-वायरल दवा रेमेडिसिविर पर Import Duty हटा दी है। जिसे कोविड -19 रोगियों के इलाज के लिए यूज किया जाता है। कई कंपनियां रेमडेसिविर के उत्पादन में जुट गई हैं और अगले 15 दिनों में इसका उत्पादन दोगुना हो जाएगा। अक्टूबर 2021 तक सरकार का ये आदेश मान्य होगा।
