Jayson Tatum Records First Career Triple Double
  • 3 years ago
Celtics Star Jayson Tatum had his first career triple-double with 14 PTS, 10 ASTS, and 13 REBS. Unfortunately, he also happened to have his worst shooting night of the season. Tatum struggled shooting in Celtics' 96-102 loss to the Bulls, going 3-17 from the field, and 1-4 from three. On a night where Boston was without four of their top six players, Chicago's defense keyed in on Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, forcing misses with their physical brand of basketball. It was bad luck for Tatum, as he was having his best shooting month in April, shooting 52% from the field.

The Garden Report analyzes the highs and lows of Tatum's game. They also pose the question: were Tatum's struggles based on his shot selection? Or because the Celtics were missing their top three guards in Kemba Walker, Evan Fournier, and Marcus Smart?

After the game, Tatum said in his postgame interview that "We could have won. We had chances. But it's hard when we're missing Kemba, Smart, and Fournier."
