No response by CM Mamata on 121 fast-track courts sanctioned for Bengal: RS Prasad

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on April 19 announced that 121 fast- track courts have been sanctioned for Bengal for sexual offences against children in West Bengal. “Been writing to Mamata Banerjee for her consent but all went in vain. You're a woman CM. What's the problem with fast-track courts for sexual offences against children?” Law Minister asked. “Fast-track courts established across country for fast-tracking cases of sexual offences against children, wherein Centre provides 50% funds and remaining states do. 121 fast-track courts sanctioned for Bengal, there has been no response from CM Mamata,” he added.
