Kemba Walker: "It's Been a Long Year" for Celtics
  • 3 years ago
Kemba Walker was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 116-96 loss vs the Philadelphia 76ers. He focused on the Celtics’ poor ball movement and large number of turnovers in his short press conference.
“Just some careless mistakes, to be honest,” Walker said about the turnovers. Boston finished with 20 turnovers on the night. “A lot of times we jumped and got caught in the air, you know?” The Celtics struggled to get things going on the offensive end and it led to a lot of unforced turnovers. The 76ers took full advantage of those opportunities.
There was a real lack of ball movement for the C’s, as they only finished with a measly 19 assists for the game. “At the end of the day, you know, you got to find a way to get your passes through,” said Walker. “Just kind of misread some things so you got to find a way to get your passes through.”
He also talked about the tough situation that everyone has been in this season. “At the end of the day you just have to adjust and adapt,” Walker said. “”It’s been a very, very tough year for everybody, so you just go to find a way man. That’s all you can do.”
