Jayson Tatum was interviewed after the Celtics’ 116-96 loss vs the Philadelphia 76ers. He talked about what the team needs to do moving forward and what went wrong in what ended up being a big-time loss.
“We’ve gotta move on to the next one,” said Tatum. The C’s fell back below .500 with that loss. Joel Embiid was absolutely unstoppable, and the Celtics did not do a great job of taking care of the ball. “It’s hard to have that many turnovers and beat a team like that.”
Tatum emphasized how big of an issue the turnovers were for the Celtics tonight. “We just got to take care of the ball,” he said. The C’s finished with 20 turnovers on the night compared to their 19 assists. “It was kind of key from all of us, you know, that we got to take care of the ball.” Tatum finished the game with 20 points on 7-17 shooting from the field and 3-10 shooting from behind the arc.
