TMC claims criminals active in Nandigram, Bengal BJP urges EC to impose Section 144 for Phase 2

Both Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the BJP have approached the election commission as the poll battle heats up in West Bengal. The TMC has claimed that criminals have entered Nandigram and that the people are scared of armed personnel from UP accompanying ministers. The BJP delegation also met Chief Electoral Officer, demanding to impose section 144 for the second phase of polling in the state which is scheduled for April 1
