The Uttar Pradesh government has received a setback from the High Court in the matter of reservation in panchayat elections. The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court has ordered 2015 to decide the reservation as the base year, after this decision, the reservation list released by the state government will be changed recently. Now reservation of every seat will be decided from scratch.

पंचायत चुनाव में आरक्षण के मामले में उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार को हाई कोर्ट से झटका लगा है. इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट की लखनऊ बेंच ने वर्ष 2015 को आधार वर्ष मानकर आरक्षण तय करने का आदेश दिया है, इस फैसले के बाद राज्य सरकार की ओर से हाल में जारी हुई आरक्षण सूची बदल जाएगी. अब नये सिरे से हर सीट का आरक्षण तय किया जाएगा.
