कांग्रेस ने असम विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए अपने 40 प्रत्याशियों की पहली लिस्ट जारी कर दी. इस लिस्ट में कांग्रेस की स्टेट यूनिट के अध्यक्ष रिपुन बोरा और विधानसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष देवब्रत सैकिया के नाम प्रमुख हैं. पार्टी उम्मीदवारों की लिस्ट के मुताबिक, राज्यसभा सदस्य बोरा को गोहपुर से उम्मीदवार बनाया गया है तो सैकिया अपनी वर्तमान सीट नजीरा से चुनाव लड़ेंगे.
