There is also happy news for the BJP, which is capable of power in the state of Assam, in the municipal elections. BJP has made a clean sweep in the urban body elections in Assam by registering victory in 74 out of 80 municipal boards. Whereas Congress has been successful in grabbing only one municipal board.

असम राज्य में सत्ता पर काबिल बीजेपी के लिए नगर निकाय चुनाव में भी खुश कर देने वाली खबर है। बीजेपी ने असम में 80 में से 74 नगर पालिका बोर्डों में जीत दर्ज करते हुए शहरी निकाय चुनावों में क्लीन स्वीप किया है। जबकि कांग्रेस सिर्फ एक नगरपालिका बोर्ड को हथियाने में सफल रही है।
