The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to impose President's Rule in Puducherry, days after a Congress-led government in the union territory lost power during a vote of confidence.Announcing the Cabinet decision, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters that the decision was taken as no party claimed to form a government in Puducherry following the resignation of the chief minister there.Watch video,

पुडुचेरी में सीएम के इस्तीफे के बाद कैबिनेट ने वहां राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने की मंजूरी दे दी. केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रकाश जावड़ेकर ने बुधवार को बताया कि पुडुचेरी में सीएम नारायणसामी के इस्तीफे के बाद किसी ने सरकार बनाने का दावा नहीं किया. इसके चलते राज्यपाल ने आर्टिकल 239 के तहत विधानसभा भंग करने की सिफारिश की. बुधवार को इसे कैबिनेट ने मंजूरी दे दी और अब राष्ट्रपति की मंजूरी के बाद वहां की विधानसभा भंग होगी. देखें वीडियो
