Eventually Puducherry came under President's rule. The Union Cabinet has approved the decision to impose President's Rule. After the fall of the V Narayanasamy government in Puducherry, there were speculations that the BJP could also form the government. However, putting an end to such speculation, it has been recommended to impose President's rule in the Union Territory.

आखिरकार पुडुचेरी में राष्ट्रपति शासन लग गया. केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाए जाने के फैसले को मंजूरी दे दी है. पुडुचेरी में वी नारायणसामी सरकार के गिरने के बाद कयास लगाए जा रहे थे कि BJP भी सरकार बना सकती है. हालांकि ऐसी अटकलों को विराम देते हुए केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने की सिफारिश कर दी गई है.
