Sam Sifton simplifies Sunday dinner: "We're having it, come on by"
For Sam Sifton, the food editor at The New York Times, food is more than just something we eat, it’s an experience that’s meant to be shared. In his newest cookbook, “See You on Sunday” Sifton provides a plethora of recipes designed around the concept of weekly suppers. From fish tacos to duck ragu, Sifton’s recipes are filled with ideas for making enough food for everyone. And Sifton’s approach to the Sunday meal is less daunting than a dinner party. “This is a family meal where the family is more broadly defined than the dictionary would have it. It's your neighbors, it's your friends. We're not there to show off,” Sifton told Salon’s Joseph Neese.
