संसद का बजट सत्र शुक्रवार से शुरू हो गया. सत्र की शुरुआत करते हुए राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद संयुक्त सत्र को संबोधित किया. अभिभाषण की शुरुआत करते हुए राष्ट्रपति ने सबसे पहले पिछले साल आई कोरोना, सीमा पर तनाव समेत कई संकटों का जिक्र किया. इसके साथ ही राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि इतने संकटों के बावजूद देश मजबूती से खड़ा रहा. राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि चुनौती कितनी ही बड़ी क्यों न हो, न हम रुकेंगे और न भारत रुकेगा. राष्ट्रपति ने अपने संबोधन में गणतंत्र दिवस के दिन दिल्ली में हुई हिंसा और लाल किले पर हुए विवाद की निंदा की
