As India undertakes a rebalance of military forces and fire power to the northern borders with China amid the continuing troop confrontation in eastern Ladakh, the Army has a new target on its radar screen: Tibetology. The Army is now fine-tuning a proposal for its officers to study Tibetan history, culture and language on “both sides” of the Line of Actual Control and the international boundary as part of the measures being discussed to “counter the propaganda and spread of influence by China”, say sources.

LAC पर चीनी फौज के सामने सीना ताने खड़ी तो है ही, अब वो पिछे से चल रहे चीनी प्रॉपगैंडा को मात देने में भी जुट गई है। इसके लिए सेना ने तिब्बत के इतिहास, वहां की संस्कृति और भाषा को जानने-समझने की रणनीति बनाई है। इसके तहत आर्मी अफसरों को एलएसी के दोनों तरफ के तिब्बत का गहराई से अध्ययन करने को कहा जाएगा। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक भारतीय सेना इस प्रस्ताव को आखिरी रूप देने में जुटी है।
