Saifullah, Hizbul Mujahideen Chief In Jammu & Kashmir, Shot Dead In Encounter In Srinagar; ‘Major Success Says Cops

Chief of the terrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in an encounter on the outskirts of Srinagar on November 1. Police called it “a major success against militancy". Saifullah had taken command of the outfit after the killing of Riyaz Naikoo in May 2020. He was one of the most wanted terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir. Saifullah was involved in several attacks on the security forces. Saifullah was blamed as the mastermind behind the fatal assault on three BJP workers recently. “Dr Saifullah who was the number one commander of Hizbul Mujahideen has been killed in the encounter. It was a very successful operation,” Dilbag Singh, police chief, J&K told ANI.
