Nia Long on representation in film: "I don't know that we were always heard"

Actor Nia Long is starting to see change in Hollywood for women of color. On “Salon Talks,” Long sat down with Salon’s D. Watkins to discuss her role in the Apple original film, “The Banker,” and how she is witnessing positive change for black women in Hollywood. “It's a great time to be a black woman. It's a great time to try things that you would never try, because there's a lane to do it, and we're being heard,” she said.
