Actor Eric Bogosian of HBO’s “Succession” shared that one of the original influences for his character Senator Gil Eavis was 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders. As he read the script, however, Bogosian admits that ultimately he decided the character was different from Bernie in many ways.
