Former Obama adviser David Plouffe offers analysis to the notion that Democrats lost seats during the Obama presidency and why it speaks to division among American voters. “We were winning seats we had no business winning. We won them in '06 and '08, glad we did,” Plouffe said on “Salon Talks.” He continued, “When you have outsized, lopsided, almost historic gains, when elections revert, you're gonna give some of that back because you were winning in not just purple areas but pretty red areas.”
