The popular festival Lohri is celebrated with joy in the evening a day before Makar Sakranti. 15 days before Lohri, boys and girls sing the folk songs of Lohri and collect wood and dung cakes and in the evening of Lohri, all people gather and burn the fire of Lohri. Lohri is celebrated after sunset on the last day of Paush month. Offering the things mentioned according to the amount in the fire of Lohri leads to food and wealth in the house.

लोकप्रिय उत्सव लोहड़ी को मकर सक्रांति से एक दिन पहले शाम को हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है. लोहड़ी से 15 दिन पहले लड़के और लड़कियां, लोहड़ी के लोकगीत गाकर लकड़ी और उपले इकट्ठे करते हैं और लोहड़ी की शाम को सभी लोग जमा होकर लोहड़ी की अग्नि जलाते हैं. लोहड़ी पौष मास के अंतिम दिन सूर्यास्त के बाद मनाई जाती है. लोहड़ी की अग्नि में राशि अनुसार बताई गई चीजों को अर्पित करने से घर में अन्न और धन की बरकत होती है.
