Pat Cummins once again dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara in Test cricket on day 3 of the Sydney Test. The solid India batsman was setting sights on scoring a big one before he was again removed by his nemesis Pat Cummins. Pujara was again caught on the crease by Cummins as he nicked the ball to wicket-keeper Tim Paine. Cummins has now dismissed Pujara in each other 4 test innings of the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Pujara who was the man of the series in Australia back in 2018-2019 hasn’t been able to score consistently in the series so far. The biggest reason why Pujara has underperformed has been his downfall against Pat Cummins.

चेतेश्वर पुजारा भारतीय टीम के मोंक माने जाते हैं. इनका ध्यान भंग करना किसी के लिए आसान नहीं है. गेंदबाज परेशान हो जाते हैं. पर पुजारा ऐसे हैं कि वो आउट होने का नाम ही नहीं लेते. इसका मुजाहिरा पिछली बार 2018 के ऑस्ट्रेलिया दौरे पर देखने को मिला था. जब भारत के इस बल्लेबाज ने 500 प्लस रन बनाए थे और ऑस्ट्रेलियाई गेंदबाजों को थकाया था. पर साल 2020 के ऑस्ट्रेलियाई दौरे पर पुजारा पूरी तरह फ्लॉप हो गए. सिडनी टेस्ट मैच तक पुजारा के नाम सिर्फ एक पचासा. वो भी सिडनी के फ्लैट ट्रैक पर अगर शतक न मार पाए तो फिर पता चलता है कि वो कितने संघर्ष कर रहे हैं. पूरी सीरिज में पैट कमिंस पुजारा के लिए काल बन गए हैं. और पांच इनिंग्स में चार बार आउट किया है. पुजारा ने इस सीरीज में कमिंस की 129 गेंदों का सामना किया. इन गेंदों पर उन्होंने सिर्फ 19 रन बनाए हैं.
