Covidshield vaccine to be used in India initially: AIIMS chief

India's drugs regulator, DGCI, on Sunday approved Oxford Covid-19 vaccine Covishield, manufactured by the Serum Institute, and indigenously developed Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for restricted emergency use in the country. Reacting to this, AIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria hailed the major development and called it "a great day for the country".
